How to pay for parking at JKIA (Jomo Kenyatta International Airport)
You can pay for parking at JKIA using the USSD code *486*12#, through cash at Pay points or alternatively you can use your KAPS A- Card for payment.
These methods of paying for parking are convenient when you want to pay for your car parked inside JKIA to places like Karibu cafe, Safari coffee shop, Kwaheri snack Bar, The Pub, Kenchic inn, Amaica, Hardee's, Servair Kenya, Utamaduni restaurant, African Express Airways and Kenya Airports Authority head offices. There will be no provision to pay at the airport exit points.
Steps to pay for parking at JKIA via USSD *486*12#
1. Dial the USSD code *486*12# on your safaricom line, and press the call button.
2. Enter parking details. A prompt titled "JKIA Parking Payment" will appear. You'll be prompted to enter your parking ticket number and other relevant details.
3. Confirm payment amount, that is, the amount due for your parking will be displayed on your screen.
4. Confirm the amount by pressing the send key on your phone.
5. Complete the payment. Follow the on- screen instructions to finalize the M-PESA transaction.
6. Enter your M-PESA PIN to authorize the payment. You'll receive a confirmation SMS indicating a successful transaction.
How to pay for parking at JKIA via the KAPS A-card
At entry
1. Drive up to the designated entry station at JKIA.
2. Tap your KAPS A- Card on the card reader.
3. The barrier will automatically lift allowing you to enter the parking lot.
At exit
1. Drive up to the designated exit station at JKIA.
2. Tap and hold your KAPS A- Card on the card reader for 3 seconds.
3. The parking fee will be automatically deducted from your A- Card balance.
4. The barrier will automatically lift, allowing you to exit the parking lot.
You can also use your KAPS A-card for long-term payments. Cash payments can be made at designated Pay points or to uniformed attendants with ID's. Request for receipt to avoid fines and also as proof of a successful payment.
NB: There are no more options to pay at the exit.
